I have had some thoughts in the back of my head for a couple of days. The main one being what is blogging? Why have a blog? The best i can come up with is that the blog is the modern day journal if you will. This is where people write what they have been thinking, or working on, or just need help with. Everything from how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich all the way to coping with death or great tragedies. The blog is a tool that is used by marketers or someone writing a how-to. To be honest, as anyone that reads this blog can tell i have not really taken it seriously. I have just been kind of dumping my brain before going to bed, though i have to admit that really has helped some nights that i just couldn’t seem to be able to fall asleep. There are those that think anyone who posts their feelings and thoughts or personal stuff on the web for all to see is crazy. Then there is those that have accepted the lack of privacy we have in this century who post everything online from credit card and bank transactions to their gas milage to their most personal feelings and everyday lives. Now im not saying that i am going to start posting my everyday personal life on here, but i do plan to really focus on getting my thoughts and questions and even things that i just want to share documented here and really try and make this into something that i can enjoy and expand my knowledge with. I guess we will see what happens.

Spent the day just kind of loafing around. Started out pretty exciting i was laying in bed and a toned dropped for an LZ down the road. Went enroute and was about halfway there and the med unit cancelled the helicopter. Then just spent the rest of the day hanging out with Meagan. We went to the store and spent too much money on groceries. But thats normal. Went out for a drive around sunset which was pretty cool…got the truck a little dirty anyway. Other than that just a nice relaxing day. My phone (motorola barrage) died me on before going to bed tonight. I did turn twitter sms on and got alot more txts than usual but i figured it would still make it past the 24 hour mark, which i guess it did since i took it off charge around 5pm yesterday and it died about 8pm tonight. Still figured it would make it longer seeing as it survived all weekend on one charge. I dont know maybe it was just the fact that i charged it until it said full then took it off instead of charging it all night. I have finally met another person that has a push to talk (ptt) verizon phone and we both talked about activating the service to play with it and see how it works. I guess we will see if we actually do it. I spent last night reading about blackberries so of course that made me miss my blackberry. Perhaps when i am rich i will be able to have my ruggedized ptt phone for voice and txt and have my blackberry for my data needs. We shall see. Oh well. Thats all i can think to post for right now.

working on blogging more and all that didnt go worth a shit as you can tell by the date of this post. Anyway time for an update. Its spring break and i have spent the last couple of days doing things other than sitting around the house looking a computer screen. It was nice, but its time to come back and get some work done before school starts back next week. Tonight at 1830 i have to go to point blank for a special meeting at the fire department as we need to chose a new assistant chief since our current one has retired. We will see how that goes since according to the requirements i think we have 2 people that are qualified. It should be a pretty peaceful and bullshit free event. Ill come back and post how it went later tonight.

Before i was talking about blogging more and more. I think my blogs are going to be based on what i am learning and playing with. So the theme for tonight is putting up more data on my website. I am wanting to upload more content to my websites and really make them a great place for information. We will see how its going to go.

so i have gotten the bug to become more active with my ham radio stuff. i would love to put some money into an aprs rig to put into the truck and would love to have one for the house for messaging and just to play with. I really want to get my ke5yot domain up and running but first i need to get the website for the ham club up and running first.

Well i just got behind. Between school and everything else going on i have fallen behind in my blogging my thoughts and in my project 365. I am going to try and jump start both by just posting on here whenever i think about it and getting a picture everyday, even if that picture is just a wall or the dog or me or something stupid. I just don’t always see something interesting everyday, or every week for that matter. Data structures and programming languages are both kicking my ass and the busy work from Networks 1 is starting to make me frustrated because i cant stand doing busy work. Im sitting in class number 1 of the day, and between this class and my next class i get to sit in on a presentation by a Professor job canidate trying to get hired at this university so it should be a pretty interesting presentation. We shall see.
